I Swear I Don't Have Horns

This summer is going swell. I haven't done too much stuff on my goal list so I need to get ON THAT!

Mostly I'm just taking this summer slow. I was so exausted once school started last year, I think this year I'll be ready to jump back in and swim.

We've started Tues. volleyball so that's epic. I stopped ready Pride and Prejudice... I know I know. I just couldn't get into it. So now I'm reading an easy read and I'm sure I'll go back to it... sometime.... ha ha.

Work is taking up most of my time. I work Mon thru Saturday from 10:30 untill around six. Selling is an awesome accomplishment. I love the feeling I get when I help convice someone to purchase something.

...I feel like I've picked the right career path.

My new manager (my previous employer had to change things up a bit) teases me quite a bit. Usually I try not to talk to much about selling because I'm sure it's boring to other people. Also I don't want to make people think I'm bragging all the time. The other day I was rather excited about selling things, my manager said, "Makes you wonder if your a bad person, doesn't it." Ha ha.

Sometimes I wonder if I am playing the devils advocate. I'm trying to persuade people to buy things that I might not necessarily buy myself. However, I think I'm only persuading, it's up to the people to choose what I'm suggesting or not to. Ergo... not my fault. :P

I love it. I feel like I'm getting better at selling... more convincing is probably a better term. ;) However that might make me sound evil... ha ha. I've sold jewelry pieces quite often last minute. So people are starting to make spur of the moment decisions. Unfortunately, sometimes (which is usually rarely but still sometimes) they later come back (usually the next day) and return it. I'll admit I feel bad but if it's a jewelry piece that comes back I feel really sad, like I failed.

Shesh... sometimes I feel like all I think about is work. I even dream about work. Is that weird? I'll dream about patrons doing strange stupid stuff. The other night I dreamed about people touching the glass and getting it dirty with their fingerprints. In the dream I was really irritated and kept trying to clean it. Last night I dreamed I kept selling all the jewelry pieces so there were empty spaces in the display cases and I was getting irritated..... I know LAME dreams huh? Ha ha ...

Shesh on my time off I'm still stressing about it....

The thing is I'm someone who is rather determined and when I get excited about something I think about it quite a bit.

So I'm continually trying to think of tactics to become better. Yes... even in my sleep. Ha ha...

TO DO LIST: DEADLINE JULY 22
-Determine who is in charge of lighthouse
-Grocery shopping
-Clean Room/Bathroom
-Vacume my car "MISS POLLY"
-Get a group to play ultimate frisbee
-Start going to bed on time...

So I've officially named my car. At first I'll admit I was mistaken with her gender but luckily I got it all figured out. :P


Her name is PollyAnna and when ever we cruise, we jam out and party. I love it! :D

I'm enjoying being in Cedar. My job working with the festival is great. Although I'll admit I'm having a hard time adjusting and being a boring Ol'... well just me. ha ha. However, I've starting learning sales tactics a bit more. I love the accomplishment of hitting a sale.


I'm still trying to figure out who all is in Cedar. Sadly, most people aren't here. I've decided I"m going to start hanging out at the library for a bit so I can meet more people. I'll probably just read and chill on the computers....

At the moment I'm reading Pride and Prejudice.... I'm slightly having a hard time focusing on it. I like Jane Austen's writing style but I'm feel as though it isn't descriptive enough. However I'll keep at it and maybe I just have to get adjusted to her writing style. So far... so good. :D

Things I'm excited for this coming week:
-Hitting up a fair that's in town tomorrow
-The opening social for work, it should be fun. It's always fun to dress up. :D
-Getting a snowcone sometime this week (seriously I think I'm addicted)
-Talking to someone about the lighthouse
-Heading to Ephraim. I'm heading for an eye doctor, which is not so fun because it's expensive but on the brightside... I'll be able to see. :D
-Watching at least one of the plays at the Festival
-Tuesday Volleyball. Woot woot!
-Getting my clothes from Deb's... I miss the rest of my wardrobe
-Getting new strings for my guitar


I must get to bed. Hope all is well in the world wide web....

Don't you hate on facebook when you log on and some random stranger wants to befriend you. Why is that? Do people try to date people on facebook? Is facebook becoming the next "Eharmony"? Ha ha....

Today I'm excited to hang out with my roomie. Although guess what we are going to do.... Watch Twilight.... I know I know. Ha ha.... I haven't seen the second one so I'm excited to mock it! :P

My roomie and her friend will be watching the third Twilight late tonight but I won't be attending with them. I figure I won't piss off all die hard fans by laughing during it.... Haha.

I guess we'll see how the second Twilight movie is. Let's hope:

1) The effects are better! Seriously that first movie was ridiculous.... That shot were he has her on his back andhe's running up the mountain.... HAHAHAHAhhaaa

2)The mediocre acting is better! Let's face it.... that first movie. Oh man.... lol. "Ask me the most basic question." Anyone can make me crack up by giving me a hillarious Twilight quote. ...ha ha!

Guess what I've got another dirty secret.... Remember how I watched the bachelor last semester? Well... I'm sitting in the library and I'm watching "The Bachelorette".... I know.... MOCK me if you must.

Any how I didn't really like Ali because I felt like she left the Bachelor just to make Jake pick her. Any how...

Relearning

So recently I've been relearning things. Things that I all ready know... but some how have forgottent. So recently this is what I've rediscovered (yet again):

A) I have to eat.... Interesting huh? I find I usually don't eat because there is nothing good to eat. Well... at least nothing sounds good recently. However I've been eating celery, drenched in a ranch dip, which basically defeats the entire "health concept" of the whole snack.

Awhile back I bought some of Equate's Weight loss shakes. Everyonce in a while I treat myself and buy a pack. I LOVE the vanilla ones.... I know call me crazy. I don't use them to replace meals, only to have them as delectable snacks and treats. My Dad use to buy them all the time. When ever I'd visit him in CT. I'd always go to work with him and it was like a special treat when he'd share his weight loss stuff. ...

Another reason why I'm not eating is because in my new apartment I don't have a microwave, a toaster, and our oven doesn't even have a shelf. And I only just got my dishes back (today).... Sigh.... I've ended up eating out more because my body kind of freaks out if I don't eat and gets all shaky and stuff.


B) I need to start going to bed earlier but that isn't really going to happen that often. Ha ha... And it's not going to happen tonight either because I'm helping a friend study.

Speaking of which I've never realized how much gross stuff hairdressers have to deal with.... Ew... those poor souls. lol

C) That God loves me. Isn't it great!! Even when I'm lame... He still loves me.

Work has finally started. I'll admit I'm still a little hesitant since I'm being my boring old self and not having my "character".

The summer is progressing nicely. It's nice to be back in Cedar and be my own self. To be independant! It's awesome to be able to DRIVE! I LOVE MY CAR! There is something completely fantastic about driving with your windows down and blasting the music.

I've gone on a few dates so that is great, especially since the summer is only begining. Maybe I"ll actually be able to go on dates this year. Why is it that guys are such pansies and never ask girls on dates? I have yet to determine the explanation.... Hmmm... guess their just pansies!

Did you know... your hair has a form of a cuticle? Yeah... I didn't either.

SICK! It's like two... and I haven't even started my night ritual. And I have to get up in like six hours.... SICK!

I've discovered something I think is hillarious.... a show called "Wipeout". There use to be a show in japan or china... or some oriental place and America did their own version on it. Ha ha...

Blowing Kisses

My summer job has officially started. I'm increasingly excited for the festival to open. However I'm depressed I'm going to be a boring American... in short... I'll be myself and will no longer be in "character". I'm going to miss my accent. Mostly because I find it entertaining... but also because guys like accents. No joke while working at the festival I get hit on more so then any other time.

Yesterday I went with one of my friends to her sisters baby blessing. This is where in the LDS religion kids are basically set apart and announced with their name....

While we were leaving we stopped at a gas station. This rather attractive guy gave me a compliment and then walked inside to the gas station. I noticed while we were parked he was kind of peering over at us so I started watching him.

When we pulled away I was still watching him because well.... because he was cute. Any how, he was standing away from the car looking at the car. I started to turned my head away when I noticed he was making large arm movements. I turned my head back to look and he was avidly blowing kisses.... ha ha. I was cracking up as well as my friend and her little brother. I should have blown him a kiss back.

Too bad I didn't do anything about it. Ahh well... his hair was too long anyway. :P

Aren't summers grand?

My current computer is broken so unfortunately I am not going to be able to blog much.... It's interesting how we can become addicted to various things, especially when it comes to technology.

I'm fairly addicted to my phone as well.... I use to text all the time but now not so much. I need to get so that I'm not as obsessed.

Guitar Tune... F-

You would think I'd know how to tune my guitar now.... expecially since I have a tuner.

-Shesh- What is my problem? I think it's mostly because I'm afraid to break the strings. But it doesn't help because everytime I've needed it tuned a guy will do it for me.

I've asked them to show me but with guys they just fix it.... sigh.

Why can't I figure it out....

I kow the string notes.... EADGBE.... So what am I doing wrong?
