You would think I'd know how to tune my guitar now.... expecially since I have a tuner.
-Shesh- What is my problem? I think it's mostly because I'm afraid to break the strings. But it doesn't help because everytime I've needed it tuned a guy will do it for me.
I've asked them to show me but with guys they just fix it.... sigh.
Why can't I figure it out....
I kow the string notes.... EADGBE.... So what am I doing wrong?

Just tune the thing to your low e. Hold it on the fifth fret to make it an A and tune the 5th string (the A string) to it. Then hold the A string on the fifth fret to make it a D and tune. Hold the fourth string on the fifth fret to make it a G and tune. Hold the third string on the FOURTH fret to make it a B and tune. Hold the second string (the B string) on the fifth fret to make it an E and tune. Done and done.
ReplyDeleteYOU are afraid of breaking your strings? remember last year when we took that guitar class and i broke like 9 strings... good times.
ReplyDeletewhat kind of tuner are you using? maybe try tuning it using a piano to check it. that helps me a lot.
